Maybe it’s just my sense of humour – or the fact that I have to try and teach the weirdness of the English language to foreign students but I love the literalness.
These have already been used in some form or other by the Uxbridge English Dictionary round in Radio 4’s long-running show “I’m Sorry I Haven’t A Clue”, so not exactly original. Good try, though.
