If dill pickle chips can catch on, then the juice box can’t be far away. Those raisins have been masquerading as chocolate chips in baked goods forever. And don’t get me started on walnuts.
I had some pickle chips for the first time a few weeks ago at Potbelly’s. They were much better than I thought they’d be, but I don’t think I could take more than the 1/2 ounce that was in the bag. They’re right up there with salt and vinegar chips.
And, yes … raisins! They are the bane of my existence. I spend an inordinate amount of time every morning picking them out of my Kellogg’s Raisin Bran Crunch. It is an awesome cereal, but it would be so much better without the raisins.
I don’t mind walnuts, but definitely prefer almonds or pecans.
Ha ha! That’s brilliant! I’m a big fan of Ms. Parker, but I’ve never heard that particular quote. I think I’m going to use that when I write my scathing letter to Kellogg’s.
I love this, John. Very original and so funny!

Packaging failures, yes, but the marketing team still maintains they had it right.

I would totally try the pickle juice box!
But those raisin things will never catch on. That’s just crazy. That’s right up there with New Coke.
Great cartoon! Very original.

As the great Dorothy Parker once said: “This wasn’t just plain terrible, this was fancy terrible. This was terrible with raisins in it.”
