Haha ah! Memories.
When I saw your cookies, I assumed they were archeological/historical – old. Especially if the holes were for becoming ornaments on a tree.
We had wrapped chocolates stacked and tied up like presents, little fuzzy ornaments, marzipan fruit and animals dating back to the 1970’s, that would decorate the table but go back to the freezer for next year. God forbid anyone should unwrap and eat!
