And all Period Dramas starting with British People and involving a delivered letter. Hey, how about COMBINING Period Drama and Sit-com? Lord Grantham: “I do say, Cora! One of these days….bang-ZOOM!”
Great analysis! However, I would argue that the ‘sob story’ in the reality talent show takes up a much greater proportion than you have suggested. ‘My aunt’s dog ate my guinepig, I was so moved, I turned to music to express myself…bla bla bla’ 🙂
Re the ‘Sports’ anatomy: Here in Australia, there’s usually an expert panel before the game telling us what’s gonna happen, then they come back after the game telling us why the winning team did such a fantastic job to prove them wrong.
