If only it wouldn’t mirror my life.
One of my bosses (an older man) was a contract child and wrote three stories of his life and let it print. Which was already shitty to get done – BOD and similar things are not that easy here and I didn’t want to make all the work. I already had enough with correcting it and hearing he wanted it in his own words – which sounded like he couldn’t write.
Two weeks ago he made me a note I should look for publishers. Well Honey, it’s nothing more than an essay and I am sure none of the normal publishers here will be interested. So I printed a list from the Swiss publisher association and thought by myself: I surely will not call there and ask for conditions and stuff. Cause when he let it print first, he didn’t want it on the market. Only for those around him who were interested *sigh*
Lucky me we only work until the end of the year, the company will be sold then and he will finally retire (he is turning 70 next January).

Awww, the Reviewer didn’t get past the cover letter! And not into the salacious dets that it was written about a dirty Father by his son. The working title must a bin rubbish.
Hmmm, Macca & John were prenet (50 odd years) and if now, the world would have been robbed.
Like would Wrong Hands have such insight if 40 years earlier? Zeitgeist.

That paperback writer wannabe should have done at least two things before sending that MS:
1. Gotten a “beta reader”
2. Hired a literary agent
Nowadays, of course, we have Amazon and other companies that allow us to self-publish (I’ve done it twice!), but back when Lennon & McCartney wrote this one, that option was only available to wealthy folks who could afford to “privately publish” books.
