Hi John! This is to let you know I’ve nominated Wrong Hands for the Versatile Blogger Award. I’ve done so in order to give you a shout-out, as well as to show my appreciation for your work. This requires no action on your part, unless you’d like to participate! In either case, I hope you’ll check out your mention on my blog. Thanks!
Thanks for visiting, glad you like the site. The drawings are done directly on the computer with a mouse – I use my right hand – which is weird because I’m left-handed… hence the name of the blog. The lettering is a typeface I created of my own handwriting, which is really handy (pardon the pun) for changing wording at the last minute – which I do more often than I should.

Love your little people.
Reminds me of my younger sister who is always scribbling on her letters and envelopes!

I am truely disapointed that your cartoons do not come out daily. It is a grievious insult to the click-addicted who instinctively return to your site 3-25 times a day looking to see if there is something new. Hey John. I went to school with a John Atkinson (Glebe, graduated 1972). Are you that same brainy guy? PB

I am truely disapointed that your cartoons do not come out daily. It is a grievious insult to the click-addicted who instinctively return to your site 3-25 times a day looking to see if there is something new. How do you not feel responsible for coddling those who have way too much time on their hands?

Haha. I’ll try to be more prolific but right now Friday updates are about all I can muster. I hear stamp collecting is fun.

Your work is extraordinary. It works on all levels. I am so glad I found it. FYI – I am a second generation Italian American, youngest of 5, wife and mother of 3 sons, former engineer, now actress living outside Washington, DC. I would love it if people included quick bios in their comments here as I imagine your following is very diverse!

Bios would certainly be an interesting exercise. BTW, I’m the second youngest of 7.

Hi Mr Atkinson,
Do you have merchandise of your art piece “Musical Chairs”? Either a t-shirt or ideally a throw pillow that I can use to decorate my husband’s music room?
Going to delve deeper into your art.
Always,
Amy
